If you request a down payment less than 25% of the total premium amount, it should be authorized by a representative of SFSC. The insured can finance their policies to a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 10 months, for policies of 12 months.  If the policy is 6 month duration, the insured can finance their policies to a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 4 months.  Documentary tax stamps are part of the premium financed and are levied at a rate of $.35 per $100 ( per portion thereof) on documents delivered or executed in Florida. The finance charge includes interest plus a non-refundable charge of $20.00.  Taxes and Inspeciton’s fee should be paid by the insured and can’t be financed. (This documentary tax stamps do not apply to Georgia).
