Is there a head that could be addressed on matters pertaining to rules, regulations, suspensions, and the like?Who are the moderators? On what basis were they chosen?
Since they or their qualifications were not introduce to us, how do we know they are qualified to moderate a forum, especially a science forum?Are moderators chosen based on the amount of post they make? Their knowledge based on the subjects, or what?There are rules and regulations posted on the forum and must be followed. Mullard A. All in all, I think the Mythbusters do a good job testing things fairly scientifically. The only thing is, sometimes they define the target very narrowly, which I suppose makes good TV, but it leads to a lot more busts that some people might disagree with. I’m shocked!(I would like to take this space to apologise, jame and adam rock!) A bat that is either too light or too heavy will not hit a ball as far as one that is just right. And “just right” is dependent on the batter, his strength and his size. I did have some background in ancient science and wanted to know a little about modern science. Just right depends on the pitch too. Then it got me thinking, if you had a multi layered bat, starting with wood, and the layers got harder and harder, would it be much more efficient, caus eit would be repelling much more energy? Who do we report to when these rules or regulation are breached? not only by members, but by the moderators themselves? This post is asking a question that members will have to evaluate and respond to as they have experienced on TSF.Since I have participated on the forum and have my own experience, I will state here what I have noticed and what I think are the good and bad parts.I have not read anywhere that TSF is a forum for only scientists that have studied the subject of science. Despite its limiting title, Lester Del Rey’s The World of Science Fiction: 1926-1976, The History of a Subculture gives a pretty detailed history of at least the magazine driven side of the genre from the late nineteenth century to 1976, the year of the book’s publication by Del Rey Books.

My knowledge of science was quite small, especially modern science. Although it was intended to be a general history, Del Rey spent the majority of his time detailing the ups and downs of the magazine markets and the publications that made it up.
Such remarks as how ignorant I was, go study before you come here, ever thing I mentioned evidence was demanded to back up my statements and all sorts of blockages were placed in the way that made me want to run away from the forum.
